On this tour you will visit the highest lake located in the center of São Miguel island it is one of the biggest lakes of the Azores it is also the youngest volcano on the island approximately 15 million years old  and the last eruption occurred in 1563.

After this we will drive towards Furnas located east of Ponta Delgada in that area you can also see many Hot Springs and a beautiful lake with 2 km long it is an outstanding attraction on the way to Furnas  we have a few stops along the south side of the island including Vila Franca do Campo (first capital of the island XVII century) on the way back to Ponta Delgada we have a few more stops this time along the north side of the island one of the highlights is the tea plantation/factory.

We recommend this tour for a longer stay on the island it takes about 5/6 hours.
